Stage 1: Examining basic file system structure. I have however got errors through CHKDSK, this is the result: although I'm still suspect on them (2x8gb Patriot 1600mhz). I've run memcheck a number of times, up to about 3 hours at a time and haven't been able to find any errors. It's strange the problems seem to occur almost exclusively when there is little demand on the pc. From memory the update to windows 10 caused some of the overclocking settings to reset to defaults but after using MSI afterburner + kombuster, EVGA precision and GPU-z I feel I've established a fairly stable setup. The BSOD's usually occurs after trying to wake from sleep, so I updated the bios to the most up to date (H97-gaming 3 F7) and that seemed to help, but not completely resolve the problem.Īfter updating to windows 10 (with the free update) the crashing has become more frequent and now also happens when just operating normally. I am overclocking btw (not a hell of a lot) and the BSOD's vary rarely occurs while the computer is running at high performance. I've suspected the RAM, Bios or SSD to be the most likely culprits but haven't had any success resolving them. I selected all the parts but got the guys there to put it together because doing that only cost $70.
Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated!!
I've been having BSOD problems ever since I purchased a computer around 12-18 months ago.
